Aliso Viejo, CA – April 19, 2018
Inventory Optimization Solutions (IOS) today announced that Peachtree Orthopedics has received the first Best Practice Award of 2018. Peachtree Orthopedics has demonstrated exceptional capabilities in automating supply chain and related processes, with interfaces between the Envi® solution and various systems within their organization. Every quarter, IOS identifies and shares best practices from among its customer base of over 5,000 healthcare facilities, to provide education to the healthcare community on supply chain automation, especially in the non-acute healthcare market.
Peachtree Orthopedics has been serving the Atlanta population for over 60 years, providing a lifetime of care for patients and families. Thirty four expert physicians are fellowship trained, going beyond general orthopedic training to specialize in a specific part of the body, leading to higher quality care, less pain, a shorter recovery and better outcomes. Peachtree Orthopedics’ two outpatient surgery centers are using the Envi web-based supply chain solution from Inventory Optimization Solutions (IOS).
The team at Peachtree Orthopedics set specific objectives to improve supply chain and related processes, such as accounts payable. “We focused on improving visibility, increasing automation and reducing manual data entry across our organization,” said Taylor Richardson, ASC Operations Strategist, Peachtree Orthopedics. “If software systems aren’t integrated, there’s no efficiency – you have to get the data from one system into another and manual keying isn’t the answer. Since our top priority is patient care, not data entry, we needed Envi to tie to other systems to minimize data entry and let the data flow automatically.”
This focus led the teams at Peachtree Orthopedics and IOS to build effective integration interfaces between Envi and two systems currently in use at Peachtree Orthopedics, including their Great Plains financial and DeRoyal Continuum® systems, with integration to a third system planned this year. Additionally, Peachtree Orthopedics has taken advantage of the pre-configured integration between Envi and IDS Xchange Services (Invoice Delivery Service), enabling Envi customers to receive a higher percentage of invoices electronically. IDS technology helps their customers convert invoices into electronic documents (EDI 810 file format), automating the validation of invoices against purchase orders, and facilitating faster processing and payment. Since going live with the Envi / IDS solution, Peachtree Orthopedics has processed over 1200 electronic invoices, reducing handling time, increasing automation and ensuring accurate payments.
“We’re in a fortunate position in the healthcare marketplace. With a large customer covering the entire continuum of care, we see many different types of care providers using our Envi solution to advance their supply chain processes – eliminating manual work, driving greater automation and ultimately reducing costs,” said Steve Britt, managing partner, IOS. “We’re excited to recognize Peachtree Orthopedics as the first Best Practice Award recipient of 2018. They’ve been a great partner, as we’ve worked together to create seamless interfaces between Envi and several of their legacy solutions. As a result, Peachtree has been able to save materials management time, ensure availability of supplies, automate AP processes, increase payment accuracy, and create greater visibility with more centralization.”
